4th of July- Independence Day Celebrations~ Philadelphia and Lehigh County
Family gatherings and the smell of food being charred on the grill are enough to make me all misty eyed, but on this perfect day it all comes to an end on that perfect well loved family blanket looking up into the night sky to see beautiful fireworks being launched into the air to celebrate our independence. That is if you are looking at the fireworks and not the complete wonderment in your child`s eyes as they gaze up at the spectacular show of lights. So if your wondering how to celebrate the fact that America Rocks, I have compiled a list of Fourth of July /Independence Day festivities for you to check out in the Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Northampton, Lehigh, and Philadelphia areas.

- 2010 CELEBRATION OF FREEDOM in Peddlers Village
- Peddler's Village asks you to join them for their 7th annual "Celebration of Freedom". Live entertainment, children`s activities, and picnic-style favorites await you at this patriotic event. Fireworks display at 9:15pm. Free admission. Music accompanying fireworks!
- Wawa Welcome America's Taste of Philadelphia Festival - Tons going on here on July 3rd; starting with a Super Scooper Ice Cream Festival and then an awesome Block Party in Chinatown with cooking demonstrations, a festive open air market and dance and musical performances, and The Philadelphia Orchestra's FREE Neighborhood Concert and FIREWORKS!.
- Independence Day Weekend Fireworks at Sesame Place The night sky will be sparkling at Sesame Place, with a spectacular fireworks show, set to a Sesame Street sound track, making the festivities on Independence Day weekend truly memorable. Fireworks are at 9pm Saturday and Sunday Only. They will also have a FOURTH OF JULY LUAU!
- Southampton Independence Day FIREWORKS! - Come and enjoy food, fun and fireworks!
- Good Neighbor Day Celebration in Downingtown Don't miss this fair there will be a freedom walk, crafts, food, duck race, carnival games rides and food, big wheel race, and Fireworks to end the day at 9:30pm.

- Newtown PA's First Fourth Celebrate the 4th Newtown Style! Sidewalk sales, Musicians and Carriage Rides on State and Sycamore Streets, and Colonial Reenactments at the Old Presbyterian Church on Sycamore St.
- EVENING OF FIREWORKS AT ADVENTURE AQUARIUM'S INDEPENDENCE DAY SPLASH! Prepare for an evening of fun and fireworks on the Camden, NJ Waterfront! On Saturday, July 3rd from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm, Adventure Aquarium will open its doors to host an exclusive, after-hours event in coordination with the City of Philadelphia`s fireworks celebration.
- Fireworks in Aston PA The township will hold its annual fireworks display at dusk on Saturday at the Sun Valley High athletic field. The rain date is July 12.

- FONTHILL'S OLD-FASHIONED 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION -Fonthill Museum Experience "the good-old days" as Fonthill recreates an early 20th century July Fourth Celebration. Festivities include a decorated bike parade, a town ball game (19th-century baseball), a watermelon eating contest, free old-time games, live music and picnic foods.
- Phoenixville 4th of July celebration -The Fourth of July celebration will start at 4 PM with a band, at 5 PM the Idiotarod shopping cart race will begin, followed by music on the Main Stage and around town until Fireworks start at approximately 9:45 PM.
- Independence Day Celebration including a parade and fireworks! -Kids program at 10am, a parade starts at 4pm, and then fireworks at the end of the night.
- JULY 4TH COMMUNITY DAY in Quakertown -The all-day celebration begins at 8 a.m. and features a pancake breakfast, an antique car show, games, food booths, and on-stage programs from 11 a.m. until the closing Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
